Expedited Registration

Summary

The Expedited Registration Program allows the Department of Real Estate to acknowledge the receipt of an application, to give it an effective date and to issue a registration number without the detailed examination of the application. Contracts then may be written for the sale of property in the subdivision.

Within 15 business days, the DRE may return the application with a deficiency letter, in which developers have 30 days to respond. Failure to comply with the requirements of the deficiency letter may be result in any sales being rescinded and in administrative penalties and sanctions.
